Forge a Document
You spend time meticulously replicating handwriting, seals, or official formatting to create a convincing false document. This activity covers anything from a simple travel permit to a complex royal decree.
To begin forging the document, spend three copper pennies in raw materials and roll+EDU. You gain favour on this roll if you have a sample of the original handwriting or an official seal to copy. This process requires one hour.
- Complete Success: You can already tell that your document will pass muster. This document will grant favour when you try to pass it.
- Success: The document is an excellent forgery.
- Partial Success: You can spot some flaws that you don't think you can correct. The document will inflict slight when you try to pass it.
- Failure: Yeah, you've wasted an hour and your raw materials. The document will automatically fail to pass.
- Complete Failure: You're convinced that this document is a perfect forgery. In fact, it will automatically fail to pass muster.
Completing the document will require two further hours of work, but no further expenditure of materials.
When the document is challenged, you must roll+CHA. You suffer slight if the document is being examined by an expert or someone intimately familiar with the supposed author. And the quality of your forgery will also affect this roll, as discussed above.
- Complete Success: The inspector is completely convinced and will not question the document again unless presented with overwhelming evidence of its falsehood.
- Success: The document passes inspection and is accepted as genuine.
- Partial Success: The document is accepted, but something about it raises minor suspicion. You must choose one Bad Thing from the list below.

- Complete Failure: The inspector immediately identifies the fraud and alerts the authorities.
