Balance
You attempt to move across a narrow or unstable surface. This activity is required if the path is narrower than 30cm. Roll+AGI. You gain favour to this Roll if the path is wider than 15cm, but you suffer slight if the path is narrower than 5cm.
- Complete Success: You move halfway across the surface. In addition, you may select one Good Thing from the list below.
- Success: You move halfway across the surface.
- Partial Success: You move halfway across the surface, but you must select a Bad Thing from the list below.
- Failure: You fail to make progress and lose the remainder of your turn. If the path was narrower than 15cm, you fall.
- Complete Failure: You slip and fall immediately. In addition, you must select a Bad Thing from the list below.
Reaching halfway across the surface is normal on your turn. To complete the traversal, this activity must be taken a second time.
If you are struck by an attack while halfway across, and the attacker may roll any number of damage dice, you must immediately Roll+AGI. On a failure or worse, you fall. You do *not* need to roll if the attack inflicts only flat damage, provided that damage does not exceed your Agility bonus.
Good Things
- You may move all the way across the surface.
- You spot a hidden detail or a shortcut along the path.
- You do not fall if you take damage. This advantage lasts until the end of your next turn.
Bad Things
- You become Vulnerable until the start of your next turn.
- You drop one item you are currently holding.
- The effort strains you; you suffer slight to your next attribute check.
