Before you can begin play, you must start by creating your character. Your character is your avatar in the game; it has strengths and limitations as defined by your choices when building the character, and can improve over time.

The character creation process is relatively simple:

• Choose an Ancestry, Background and Class, in any order.
• Distribute thirty points among your attribute values. No single attribute may receive more than twenty points at this stage.
• Spend 150 copper pence on any equipment that you desire.
