Some spells can be maintained by concentration. This is referred to as Sustaining a Spell. The action required to Sustain is normally a Short action, but some spells require a Main action to Sustain.

When you Sustain a Spell, its duration is extended to the end of your next turn. A spell may be Sustained as long as you wish.
