Distant Touch Caster

You have learned to extend the reach of your spells. You may use your Short action to increase the reach of a spell you are casting.¹⁾

• If the spell you are casting permits you to target a creature in an adjacent zone, you may instead target a creature two zones away.
• If the spell you are casting requires that the target be in the same zone as yourself, you may instead target a creature in an adjacent zone.

This spell shaping may only be applied to a spell that targets a creature. It will work on a spell that allows targeting creatures or something else, but only if the caster then chooses to target a creature with the spell.
