You spend the day performing labor or services in exchange for copper pennies. You must be in a location where paid work is available, such as a city or hub.

===== Unskilled Labor =====

You perform basic manual tasks that require no specialized knowledge. This requires no Roll, and the work is almost always available. You automatically earn 1 copper penny per hour of work.

===== Skilled Services =====

You use your specific talents to earn a higher wage, though you risk lower pay if the work is poorly performed. You must specify the exact trade or profession in which you seek to work.

=== Finding the Job ===

First, you must spend one hour seeking employment. If you have previously worked within the trade or profession in this community, and did not roll a complete failure, you do not need to roll. Otherwise, **roll+CHA** or **roll+EDU**, whichever is greater. On a 9 or greater, you find work in your chosen field. On an 8 or less, you must choose a different field and try again.

Once you have found work, you must put in eight hours in the craft or trade. **Roll+CHA** or **roll+EDU**, whichever the Director states is appropriate for the job.
  * **Complete Success**: Your work is legendary. You earn 25 copper pennies.
  * **Success**: You perform your duties well. You earn 20 copper pennies.
  * **Partial Success**: Your work is adequate. You earn 15 copper pennies.
  * **Failure**: Your work is subpar. You earn only 5 copper pennies.
  * **Complete Failure**: Your work is a disaster. You earn nothing for your time, and your employer fires you. You will have to seek a new employer before you can work in this field again.
