 +You can cast a spell more quickly, but the cost is high, requiring burning through your spellcasting components very quickly.  When you [[ironbound:rules:activities:Cast a Spell]] that requires your Main action to cast, you may choose to cast it using your Short action.  If you do so, the spell you cast is automatically no longer [[ironbound:characters:class:magician:activities:prepare_spells|Prepared]].  If you roll a Bad Thing, you might as well select "This spell is no longer Prepared", because it's going away anyway.
