You invoke a pact of peace upon your hearth. This ritual must be performed with a source of fire as its center. Every person who is present, and agrees to the terms of the contract, is protected. The terms are: No creature may harm any other within the radius of the spell.
If a creature who is not part of the pact attempts to harm a creature that is part of the pact, they inflict no damage at all if that creature is within the radius of the ritual. Further, the creature becomes Panicked by the source of fire chosen as the center of the ritual.
A creature that is not part of the pact who attempts to enter the circle with any intent to cause harm—including theft—must make a Charisma save against the Spellcasting skill TN of the caster, plus one per other member of the pact.
- Success: The creature may enter the circle, but treats it as difficult terrain, and the caster is awakened if Asleep and instantly becomes aware of the creature.
- **Failure*: The creature becomes Panicked by the source of fire chosen as the center of the ritual.
If a creature who is part of the pact attempts to harm a creature within the radius of the ritual, they are cast out of the pact, and no longer considered part of it.
With this spell in effect, no other creature need Keep a Watch, freeing up their time for other pursuits.
