Pawn of Prophecy

You conduct a short ritual designed to provoke a prophecy from you. The prophecy may be about you, or any person who is present when you perform the ritual. You can make this prophecy say anything you like—let your creativity run rampant! But make a note of what you predict.

At any time in the future, you may cause any die roll made by any creature, artifact or being to be re-rolled on your demand, so long as it is in service of this prophecy. For example, if you predict that your Rogue will overthrow the Tyrant, and your Rogue is hit in the face by an arrow, forcing the attacker to re-roll their attack would be in service of that prophecy—your Rogue cannot overthrow the Tyrant if dead! When the re-roll is forced, you choose which results will be used.

This spell lasts until you activate the above ability. Until you activate it, you cannot Cast this Spell again. You cannot End this Spell. When you activate this ability, roll a Spellcasting skill check against a TN of 16.

  • Success: The spell ends immediately.
  • Failure: Your prophecy carries a backlash. The Director may choose to force a re-roll made by any person, so long as it is in service of causing you harm! Only after the Director activates the back-lash does the spell end. However, if they do not do so before the end of the current session, the spell ends.
