When an opposing spellcaster Casts a Spell, you can attempt to counter that spell. Make a Spellcasting skill check. If the total of your check matches or exceeds the caster's Spellcasting skill check total, their spell is considered a failure, regardless of the total they have rolled. Bear in mind that many spells still have a partial effect on a failure.

The spell can also be cast at an ongoing spell. This takes a little longer, as you must detect the weaknesses in the target spell and determine how to cause them to fail. The TN to Cast this Spell is based on the Power of the target spell, not this spell's Power.

• Success: The target spell ends immediately.
• Failure: The target spell is not affected.
