Adaptable and ambitious, Humans thrive in the diverse tapestry of the Realms, forging their destinies with a keen eye for opportunity. They can be found in every clime, from the frozen glaciers of the Northern Walls to the burning desert of Ramiidia. They live and thrive where no other civilization can take root.

Many other ancestries view Humans with some trepidation. They point out the Humans' clannish nature, and their tendency to turn against those who are different simply because they are different. They note the Humans' aggressiveness, their willingness to clash even among themselves, and their hierarchal nature.

But even the most jaded intellect can admit that Humans are incredibly versatile and adaptable. They have been described as “everybody's second-best friend.” Despite their fractious nature, Humans are often willing to put their differences aside to reap a common benefit, and if they are opportunistic, they can also be remarkably altruistic.

Female Trolls can pass for Human, especially when they employ their glamers to cloak their appearance. They are known to seduce Human males, and occasionally produce a halfling child. Typically, they will abandon that child on the doorstep of a religious organization, or that of a childless peasant.

The resulting being tends to have some of the Trollish resilience and aggression, but little of their appearance; they can easily pass as large, robust Humans. If you choose to be Half-Troll, you gain five additional stamina, but lose the Flexible Training benefit.

Their flexibility and adaptability is the secret to the Humans' success. When you select Human as your ancestry, choose any two attributes and increase them by +1 each.

Humans have a base speed of four meters.

Humans start with fifteen stamina.

Humans are diverse in their linguistic abilities, often picking up languages as they traverse the Realms. You begin play speaking Trade. You may select two additional languages, spoken or written, that you know. You may select additional languages, spoken or written, equal to your Education bonus.

Humans have an innate adaptability that allows them to excel in various fields. When you select Human as your ancestry, choose one skill. Increase your training bonus in that skill by +1.
