You can attempt to decipher a written language that you cannot read or write. The action required is based on the amount of text being translated, and the Target Number for the roll is based on the language itself, as described in the table below.

Attempting to translate a sentence will take five seconds. Attempting to translate a paragraph will take a minute. Attempting to translate a page of text will require an hour. Roll Society.
- Success: You have translated the text.
- Failure: You have picked out a few words here and there. The Director may give you a hint as to what the text says. However, if you rolled a one on either die, you have gotten exactly nothing!
Aria has gotten access to the document that she wanted! Sadly, it is written in Ramidiian, an uncommon script which Aria cannot read. Undaunted, she sets to work translating the page. She rolls a 17 on her Society check, which is enough to meet the TN 15 needed for an Uncommon language like Ramidiian, and spends an hour transcribing the text into Trade glyphs.
