Subdue a Foe
Time Required: +1 second
Skill: Unarmed Combat (Trained)
Requires: The target must be Grappled or Pinned
You attempt to subdue the target, so that they can be taken alive. Make an Unarmed Combat attack roll against the target's Body defence. You can also make this attack with any other Combat skill, provided that the weapon you are using has the Non-Lethal property.
- Success: Roll 2[W] + Body Non-Lethal Damage. If the foe was already at zero stamina, they must immediately make a Capacity saving throw.
- Failure: If the foe was Pinned, they take 1[W] + Body Non-Lethal damage.
Sir Roland has managed to Grapple Sebastian, and now attempts to Subdue him. He rolls Unarmed Combat and scores a 12, which is better than Sebastian's Body defence of 11. Sir Roland's Unarmed Combat damage die is only a d4, so he rolls 2d4+2 and gets five damage. Sebastian has only four stamina remaining, and so is reduced to zero, but doesn't take any hit points of damage.
