Shove
Time Required: Quick Action
Skill: Varies (Untrained)
Requires: You have an empty hand, or are using a shield.
You attempt to push a foe away from you. You can only attempt to Shove a foe that is adjacent to you. You may choose to roll Athletics or Unarmed Combat against the foe's Body defence. If you are using a shield and are trained in shields, you may instead roll Body + Level.
- Success: The target is Pushed one meter.
- Failure: The target is not Pushed.
Special: If your immediately previous action was to make an attack with the same skill as the Shove (Typically Unarmed Combat or Shield Bash), you take favour on the check.
Eldrin wants to cast Breathe Fire, but he has a goblin adjacent to him. He uses a simple action to Shield Bash the foe, then uses his quick action to Shove the foe. He is trained in shields, and so rolls Body + Level, getting a 13 and Pushing the goblin one meter. With no foes adjacent to him, he may now Cast a Spell without fear of Counterattack.
