You attempt to predict your opponent's next move. Choose one of the following intentions:

Determine a foe's current stamina and conditions	12
Inflict slight on the target's next attack	15
Grant favour on your next attack against the target	18
Gain an attack of opportunity on the target's next movement, even if it the target takes a movement option that does not provoke such	24
The foe is truly emotionless	+3
The foe is extremely alien to the character	+5
The foe is well known to the character	-3

Success: You gain the chosen effect. If not used before the end of your next turn, the effect is lost.
Failure: You gain no benefit.

The Baron's defences are remarkably good, and Sir Roland realizes that he will need an advantage. He attempts to Read his Opponent in order to gain favour on his next attack (TN 18). He makes his skill check, getting a total of 20, and reads the Baron's next dodge well enough to swing into it.
