Trigger: You attempt to enter a square that is occupied or threatened by a foe.
Skill: Acrobatics
Passing through an enemy's square is a sure way to provoke a Counterattack. Luckily, you can use Acrobatics to avoid provoking that Counterattack.
You may only attempt this maneuver if you would have sufficient movement remaining to then exit that square. Make an Acrobatics Skill check vs the foe's Foresight defence.
- Success: Your movement does not provoke a Counterattack from that foe for the rest of your turn.
- Failure: You provoke a Counterattack, and may not enter that square. You still lose the movement distance that you would have used to enter the square.
Trapped in a corner with a foe too close to use her bow, Kioni attempts to move through said foe's square, using her Aruna grace. The Goblin has a Foresight defence of 13. Kione rolls her Acrobatics, and gets a 17. She uses two meters of her Speed of six to enter the Goblin's square, one to exit it, and three more to move away from the Goblin, opening the range enough that she can safely use her bow.
