The weapon is made from low-cost materials, or was poorly designed. Either way, it costs considerably less to manufacture. Reduce the base cost of the weapon (prior to any properties being selected) by 10¤ or half the cost of the weapon, whichever is less.
Design Notes: There is no benefit or penalty aside from the change in cost. This renders the weapon somewhat weaker, in exchange for its reduced price.
