Hungry

A character who is Hungry has missed a meal. They suffer a -1 penalty to all attribute checks, skill checks and saving throws, and their maximum Health is reduced by one.

Multiple instances of Hungry can stack:

  • The penalty to attribute checks, skill checks, and saving throws stacks to a maximum of -6.
  • The penalty to maximum Health stacks until it reaches zero, at which point the character has starved to death.

This condition can be removed by Eating a Meal. The first meal in a day prevents the condition from worsening; the second meal removes one instance of Hungry. Since a character can only Eat a Meal twice per day, they will need as many days to recover from starvation as they suffered instances of this condition.
