Prophecy
Requires: Oracle background.
Time Required: 1 minute.
Normally, your Origin will choose when to speak with you, but it is possible for you to entreat your Origin for knowledge of the future. You spend one minute in meditation upon a course of action. The Director will then secretly roll 2d10, with a -2 penalty for every time you have used this power in the last 24 hours.
- 18 or more: You learn whether the course of action will result in good results or bad, and to what degree (great or lesser), and your Origin also provides you with one (typically cryptic) hint that will help you if you choose to pursue that course of action.
- 14-17: You learn whether the course of action will result in good results or bad, and to what degree (great or lesser).
- 9-13: You learn whether the course of action will result in good results or bad, but not the degree.
- 5-8: You learn nothing helpful. Your Origin may refuse to answer, or they may give an ambiguous answer that is worse than no answer at all.
- 4 or less: Your Origin is irritated with you, and lies about the results. Treat this as 14-17 above, save that if the result would be good, your Origin tells you it is bad, and vice versa.
