Prophecy

Requires: Oracle background.
Time Required: 1 minute.

While your Origin typically chooses when to speak with you, it is possible for you to seek its guidance on the future. By meditating on a course of action for one minute, you can entreat your Origin for insight into the consequences of your decisions. The Director will secretly roll 2d10, applying a -2 penalty for each time this power has been used in the past 24 hours.

  • 18 or more: You learn whether the course of action will lead to good or bad results, and the degree (great or lesser). Your Origin also provides a cryptic hint to aid you in your decision.
  • 14-17: You learn whether the course of action will lead to good or bad results, and the degree (great or lesser).
  • 9-13: You learn whether the course of action will lead to good or bad results, but not the degree.
  • 5-8: You receive no helpful answer. Your Origin may refuse to answer, or offer a vague and ambiguous response that is obviously unhelpful.
  • 4 or less: Your Origin is irritated with you, and lies about the results. Treat this as 14-17 above, save that if the result would be good, your Origin tells you it is bad, and vice versa.
