Sometimes, an extra second makes all the difference between a miss and a hit. When you make an attack roll and miss, you may choose to spend one second (provided you still have time left on your turn). If you do, you can re-roll one of the dice used in the attack roll. You must accept the new value, even if it's worse.

Once you use this ability, you cannot use it again until you complete a short or long rest.
