Chain Spell
Time Required: Free Action.
Trigger: See Below.
You have learned how to keep a spell's effect in play, bouncing it from one target to the next. In order to invoke this effect, the following must be true:
- Your last action was to Cast a Spell with a duration of Instant;
- That spell scored a hit or success, or the target rolled a failure on their saving throw;
- Neither of the dice rolled came up showing a one.
If all of the above conditions are true, you may immediately Cast that Spell again with a new target. The previous target is considered the source of the new casting. You cannot target a creature that has already been targeted by this spell in this turn. You must spend the mana as usual for the casting, but Casting the Spell consumes no time and no additional resources beyond the mana. If the new casting meets the same conditions as the last one, you may continue to chain-cast the spell, until you run out of legal targets or mana.
