Make an Impression

Time Required: 1 minute

You can use Deception, Diplomacy, Intimidation, Performance or Society, and spend one minute attempting to shift the temporary Affinity of a subject. If the subject is an animal, you can use Animal Handling in place of the above. The Target Number for this attempt is determined by the subject's current Affinity.

  • Success: The subject's temporary Affinity is adjusted one step. If you used Intimidation, the subject's temporary Affinity becomes Helpful.
  • Failure: The subject is not impressed.

When using this action, make your skill check, determine the result, and then decide how to role-play it!

Special: If you used Intimidation to Make an Impression, then as soon as you are out of sight, the subject's permanent Affinity worsens one step.

Special: If you are using Society, you suffer slight to your attempt to Make an Impression.

Equipment

No special equipment is required to Make an Impression. However, if you are using Diplomacy or Society in the attempt, you may expend Luxury Items, to a maximum of 15sp, to improve your chances. The amount of gift items you spread out determines the bonus you receive for doing such, as described below.
