You go looking for work. There is always room for unskilled labour in any community, but the need for skilled labour is not always high.

If you wish to perform unskilled labour, you need not make any roll. Simply collect ten copper pennies at the end of the day's work.

If you are trained in a skill that can be used to bring in money, you may choose to look for work involving that skill. Applicable skills include the following: Crafting, Medicine, Performance. Roll the skill, and gain one copper penny for each point rolled. If you rolled less than ten, then your character failed to find any work in this field, and was forced back into unskilled labour after wasting some of their time.
