Break Free

When you are Grappled, Immobilized or Pinned, you can use this action to attempt to free yourself. When you are Pinned, this is the only action you can take.

You may roll your Acrobatics, Athletics or—if you are Grappled—your Unarmed Combat. The TN will be given by the source of the Condition.

  • Success: The Condition ends, and you may Step one meter as a free action.
  • Failure: The Condition does not end.

Pinned

A character who is Pinned can only attempt to Break Free, and can only make the one attempt. However, given that they have only the singular focus, a character who is Pinned takes a +3 bonus to their attempt to Break Free.

  • Success: The Condition ends, and you may Step one meter as a free action.
  • Failure: The Condition does not end, and you lose any remaining time on your turn.
