Outlander
The Outlander is shaped by the harsh realities of the wilderness, where survival is a constant test of endurance, resourcefulness, and willpower. Born and raised far from the comforts of civilization, Outlanders are accustomed to the untamed wilds, where every day brings new challenges. Whether they come from dense forests, sprawling deserts, towering mountains, or remote tundras, these individuals are experts in navigating difficult terrain and surviving without the aid of modern conveniences. The wilderness is not just a backdrop for them, but their home—a place they know better than any city or town.
Living without easy access to advanced technologies, Outlanders must rely on their resourcefulness, using only the tools at hand to thrive. Their survival skills are honed through years of learning how to hunt, fish, forage, and craft essential tools from the materials available in nature. Whether it’s building a shelter from nothing, hunting game with primitive weapons, or finding water in the most unforgiving landscapes, the Outlander is never caught off guard. Their resilience is matched by their ability to adapt to ever-changing conditions, learning to read the signs of nature and use them to their advantage.
Outlanders often have few ties to the rules of society and little use for the comforts others take for granted. This independence means they sometimes struggle to fit into structured societies, where conventions and laws govern life. Instead, their moral compass is shaped by the necessity of survival, the bonds they form with other survivors, and the respect they have for the natural world. Those who are fortunate enough to befriend an Outlander find they are fiercely loyal companions, driven by a deep sense of honour forged in the crucible of hardship.
While Outlanders may be seen as solitary figures, many find purpose in their travel and interaction with others of their kind, or perhaps in helping others survive in the wilderness. Some are wanderers, seeking answers, lost to the world, or driven by a need to protect their homeland. Others, perhaps as a result of a deeper calling, might venture into settled areas for specific missions or quests. No matter their reason for leaving the wilds, the Outlander’s connection to nature and their survival instincts remain unshakeable—traits that make them formidable allies and dangerous adversaries alike.
