Knight
The Knight background reflects a life steeped in martial discipline and honour. Raised to uphold the ideals of chivalry, a Knight is a trained warrior with a deep sense of duty and loyalty. Whether serving a noble lord, a religious order, or a realm in need, Knights are bound by a code that places honour and courage at the forefront of their actions. Their training spans the use of both sword and shield, alongside the ability to navigate the complex social hierarchies of courts and kingdoms.
Knights begin their journey with a foundation of physical strength and charisma, making them formidable figures in both battle and diplomacy. Their combat prowess is supported by extensive training in various weapons—blades, blunt instruments, polearms, or unbalanced weapons—and they are often regarded as experts in the use of armour and shields. Their stamina and recovery abilities ensure that they can endure the rigours of extended combat, while their defensive training grants them resilience against both physical attacks and cunning foes.
Beyond their martial capabilities, Knights are also equipped with the skills necessary to thrive in the political and social arenas. Their ability to navigate the complex web of nobility and society is as vital as their swordplay, making them invaluable in times of both war and peace. Whether using their skills in diplomacy to broker alliances or their intimidation to command respect, a Knight can sway the outcome of an encounter as much through words as through action.
Knights can also choose from a variety of traits that reflect their personal fighting style and expertise. Some may specialise in armour or shield use, while others may channel their martial focus into smiting enemies or gaining an edge in weapon proficiency. A Knight is a versatile and well-rounded character, skilled in both the physical and social aspects of life, and can adapt to nearly any challenge that comes their way.
