Sneak Attack
If the Scarecrow makes an attack against a foe while Hidden, increase the damage inflicted by +1d6, regardless of hit or miss. If their presence was not even known to the target, increase this additional damage to +2d6.
Resilience
The Scarecrow is surprisingly difficult to damage. It has Resistance 1 to Blunt, Kinetic and Slashing damage, and Resistance 2 to Impaling damage.
Unliving
Scarecrows are Mindless, and cannot be affected by any sort of mind- or emotion-controlling effect. They do not feel pain in the slightest, and so no effect that inflicts pain will destroy them. Finally, they cannot be healed, and are not subject to any magics that affects the target's life force.
The Scarecrow is a hulking figure made of straw, cloth, and old farming tools, stitched together with rough twine. The underlying frame is wood, giving it surprising resilience. Its head is often a hollow, gaping burlap sack, fashioned with hollow eyes and a menacing grin. The scarecrow's body is a patchwork of old clothes and rags, stuffed with straw, giving it a lanky, intimidating presence. They are often shorter than humans, and considerably thinner. Despite its flammable appearance, the process of creating this Construct includes casting fire resistance spells on it, so it burns no better or worse than any living creature.
The Scarecrow is programmed to approach by stealth, strike from a hidden position, and fade back into the darkness. It is a weapon of terror, as much as a guardian, and most Golem Crafters who produce this horror intend it to frighten foes off, rather than to slay them outright. They usually wield garden implements as weapons, particularly sickles or pruning knives.
