The Bog Zombie is immune to many damage types. They are immune to the Bleeding and Poisoned conditions, and take no damage from Mental or Poison damage. However, they are weak to fire, and take one additional point of damage per die from the Burning condition.

The Bog Zombie lacks the ability to heal their bodies naturally. Healing magic has no effect on them whatsoever. However, if the Bog Zombie takes an hour to consume a fresh corpse, it is restored to full stamina.

The Bog Zombie is able to detect any living being within six meters. No skill check of any sort is required for this. This ability works through all forms of cover and concealment. A creature that is seen via Life Sense never gains any benefit from Concealment.

The Bog Zombie is a shambling monstrosity born from the stagnant waters and fetid muck of bogs and swamps. Legends whisper of various origins for these creatures. Some believe the Bog Zombies are the tormented spirits of those who died violent deaths in the swamp, eternally bound to the muck by a vengeful curse.

Others claim the bogs themselves possess a dark magic, animating the drowned carcasses and swamp detritus into a mockery of life.

A more sinister tale suggests some druidic cults use forbidden rituals to create Bog Zombies as guardians or expendable warriors.

Regardless of their origin, Bog Zombies are mindless automatons driven by a primal hunger for the living. They lurch from the swamp, drawn by the scent of fresh prey, their forms reeking of decay and the stagnant water that birthed them.

A Bog Zombie stands as a grotesque parody of a humanoid figure. Its flesh is a sickly green or grey, bloated and pockmarked with festering sores. Clumps of moss and reeds cling to its decomposing form, and the stench of the swamp hangs heavy in the air around it. Its eyes, if present at all, are milky white orbs devoid of sight, replaced by a blind hunger that drives the creature forward.
