Shape Change

Time Required: 2 seconds

This is the coveted ability to change form into that of an animal. You may spend one Æther to take on the form of an animal. You may choose any animal, provided that it is no larger than Medium size and doesn't have a swim or fly speed. However, you do not use the animal's statistics, if they are in the Bestiary.

When you take on animal form, you lose access to all of your equipment, which is absorbed into your new form. You gain temporary stamina equal to ten times your level. You can only maintain your form so long as you have temporary stamina. If you lose all your temporary stamina, you revert to your normal form, and are Dazed. You can take a two-second action to transform back to normal, losing your temporary stamina, but not becoming Dazed. When you return to your normal form, your equipment also returns, and anything that you had in your hands remains in your hands.

While in animal form, you cannot regenerate Æther, and you cannot cast spells. You gain a +1 bonus to Agility, Body or Dexterity. The choice of attribute should be appropriate to your form. In addition, you may choose one of the following skills: Acrobatics, Athletics, Intimidation, Perception, Stealth, Survival. You gain favour on all skill checks in the chosen skill.

You also gain a basic melee attack, as follows:

Natural Attack: Foresight + Level vs Agility.

Choose Blunt, Impaling or Slashing damage for your attack, as well as the precise form that the attack takes.

When you take on a specific form, record your choices for attribute, skill and damage type. Whenever you take on that form, you must make the same choices.
