Time Required: 1 to 5 minutes
Skill Check: Perception

You carefully search an area for a specific thing. The area must be no more than ten meters in any dimension. Before making your skill check, you must name what you are searching for. This can include, but is not limited to:

• Traps
• Secret doors, compartments or passages
• A creature's trail (to enable tracking)
• Valuables
• Signs of recent activity

Once you have declared what you are looking for, make a Perception skill check.

• Complete Success: You find the thing you were looking for in one minute.
• Success: You find the thing you were looking for in three minutes.
• Partial Success: You find the thing you were looking for in five minutes.
• Failure: After five minutes, you are unable to find the thing you were looking for.
• Complete Failure: After five minutes, you conclude that the thing you were looking for is not there (even if it is.)

If more than one person is searching the same area for the same thing, take the highest roll from among the searchers, rather than using the Help Another action.
