You always have a contingency plan, and you always seem to have just the right things you need for said plan. Whenever you take down-time in a friendly community, you may choose to spend an hour perusing shops and finding handy things that might just be what you need for your next plan.
When you do so, you may spend 25 silver coins on “items in reserve”. These are not specific items; mark off the 25 silver coins as being reserved, but don't worry about selecting any specific gear. If you take this action and have any coins still reserved, you may simply “top up” your budget. You can never have more than 25 silver coins in reserve in this manner.
Time Required: 2 seconds
You dig through your pockets and pull out exactly the item you need for the current situation. Select any item whose cost is equal to or less than the amount of reserved silver that you have. The item cannot be a weapon, a shield or any suit of armour. Whatever it is, deduct its purchase cost from your reserved coins, and add the item to your permanent inventory.
Once you use this ability, you cannot use it again for the rest of the current scene.
