Rather than relying solely on memorized facts or academic learning, characters proficient in Survival excel in practical, hands-on skills such as tracking, hunting, shelter-building, and wilderness navigation. They possess a keen awareness of their surroundings, able to read signs of weather, animal behaviour, and natural hazards, allowing them to anticipate and react to changing conditions. Whether traversing dense forests, scaling rugged mountains, or traversing barren deserts, those skilled in Survival can find sustenance, secure shelter, and avoid danger, even in the most inhospitable environments.
