You make a request of the subject. This might be a plea for aid, a request for an item or asking permission to do something.
Roll Diplomacy, Deception, Intimidation or Society vs. the subject's passive Will defence. If you choose to use Deception, your opponent may use the higher of their passive Will defence or their passive Insight. Your roll is modified by the subject's temporary Affinity, but a character cannot Make a Request of a creature that is Hostile or Enraged.
In addition, the nature of the request will modify your Skill check.

Special: If you used Intimidation on the attempt, the subject's temporary Affinity towards you drops one step immediately upon completing this action.
Special: If you are using Society, you suffer slight on your attempt to Make a Request.
No special equipment is required to Make a Request. However, if you are using Diplomacy in the attempt, you may expend Luxury Items, to a maximum of 15sp, to improve your chances. The amount of gift items you spread out determines the bonus you receive for doing such, as described below.
