The Fae do not reproduce as mortals do, but that does not mean their blood never mingles with humanity. The origin of a Fae Bloodline can always be traced back to a Changeling—a half-blood Fae left among humans, whether as part of a bargain, an experiment, or simple amusement. These Changelings, though often raised as mortals, never truly belong to the world of men. They move through life with an air of otherness, carrying the gifts and burdens of their eldritch heritage. And though their blood is diluted over generations, the magic of the Fae does not fade—it waits.
In the right circumstances, the Fae spark can awaken in a descendant, stirring from its long dormancy. These Scions of the Fae Bloodline often manifest strange and subtle powers—an unnatural charm, an affinity for illusions, an ability to slip through the cracks of reality where others would be bound. But such gifts are not without danger. The Fae are creatures of whimsy and caprice, and their magic follows no mortal logic. Those who bear this blood may find themselves at odds with their own nature, drawn toward the unpredictable, the trickster’s path, or even the pull of the Otherworld itself.
