Foes start with only 1d4 damage for unarmed attacks. If your foe carries a weapon, or has natural weapons that need to be simulated, you can add these using this feature. The foe's normal damage for basic attacks becomes higher, based upon their level, as described in the table below.

You can select this feature multiple times. Each time it is selected, increase the foe's damage die for basic attacks as though they were one level higher, to a maximum of d12 at Level 4.
Instead of increasing the foe's die size, or if that die size has already reached its d12 cap, you may add bonus damage to the foe. Each time that this feature is selected for this upgrade, the foe gains +1 damage per die of damage rolled on each attack, regardless of hit or miss.
