Every morning, you may call forth an animal companion.  You gain the Ranger class feature, [[unbound:classes:ranger:animal_companion|Animal Companion]], for the duration of the day.  Decisions regarding your animal companion's capabilities are selected each day, when you summon the animal.

Using this spell does //not// count as meeting a prerequisite for Ranger class features.  Therefore, you can never improve your animal companion past its default starting abilities.
