====== Weapons ====== The denizens of the Realms face danger and adventure with a variety of tools at their disposal. Whether you're a stalwart defender wielding a mighty shield or a nimble attacker favoring precise strikes, the right weapon can make all the difference in the heat of battle. Weapons have a number of statistics that determine their performance. **Weight**: Light, medium, and heavy weapons each offer advantages and disadvantages. **Grip**: One-handed or two-handed weapons cater to different fighting styles and tactical approaches. **Cost**: Weapons range in price from readily available tools to masterfully crafted armaments, allowing you to tailor your arsenal to your budget. **Damage**: Each weapon deals a specific damage type (Blunt, Impaling or Slashing) and utilizes a damage die size, reflecting its effectiveness against different foes. **Properties**: Unique features like Reach or Brutal further define a weapon's capabilities and strategic uses. ===== Gaining Weapons ===== Unbound Tales offers two different paths to equipping your hero: [[custom_weapons|Crafting]]: Unleash your inner blacksmith! This section provides the guidelines for constructing your own weapons, allowing you to personalize your arsenal and fit it perfectly to your character's concept. [[weapon_list|Pre-Built Arsenal]]: A curated list of pre-designed weapons awaits. Quickly equip your character with a trusty blade or a sturdy shield, ready to face any challenge. ===== Wielding Weapons ===== The mass of weapons will affect how a character might wield that weapon. A **Light** weapon may be wielded in either the character's dominant hand, or their off hand. A **Medium** weapon may be wielded only in the character's dominant hand. A **Heavy** weapon may be wielded only in the character's dominant hand, and is sufficiently unwieldy that the character may not wield a weapon of any sort in their off hand. They may still use a shield, and employ a Shield Bash, but not an actual weapon. A **Heavy Two-Handed** weapon is sufficiently massive that they have a Load of 1. No other weapons are considered to have a Load!
