**Requires**:  Trained in a Magical Focus, does //not// have [[unbound:classes:mage:magical_specialist|Magical Specialist]].

Your understanding of magic transcends the boundaries of specialization, allowing you to prepare a broader array of spells. Add your Level to your maximum Power of additional spells prepared, beyond your two of each Power.

However, this broader perspective comes at a cost---you can no longer specialize in a specific college of magic, and cannot take any feature that requires that you be Trained in a specific focus.

As a second-level Mage, Thern can prepare two spells of Power 1 and two spells of Power 2.  He has an Education score of +3, and so can prepare additional spells whose total Power does not exceed three.  If he takes this feature, he could prepare additional spells whose total Power does not exceed five---his Level plus his Education score.
