====== Rage ====== **Pool**: Combat\\ **Tier**: Initiate\\ **Usage**: Action, 1 second\\ ---- There is a deep well of anger within you, threatening to break out. And when you are provoked, your rage grows swiftly and without warning. When in a battle, you may take a one-second action to Fly Into A Rage. You cannot enter a Rage if you are [[nexusframe:conditions:Fatigued]] or [[nexusframe:conditions:Exhausted]]. When you Fly Into A Rage, you gain [[nexusframe:rules:damage#Surge]] equal to five times your level. While in the Rage, you gain the following benefits: * The base damage for any melee or unarmed attacks increases by +1; * You reduce the damage multiplier for any successful [[nexusframe:actions:Hurl]], [[nexusframe:actions:Pummel]] or [[nexusframe:actions:Strike]] made against you by one step; * You gain favour on Athletics skill checks; * You ignore the [[nexusframe:conditions:Winded]] status condition. Your Rage persists until the end of combat, until you become [[nexusframe:conditions:Asleep]], [[nexusframe:conditions:Fallen]] or [[nexusframe:conditions:Unconscious]], or until you spend a six-second action to Come Down From The Rage. When your Rage ends, you lose any Surge that you have remaining, and you become [[nexusframe:conditions:Winded]]. If, at the end of your turn, you have neither made attacks nor been attacked since your previous turn, your Rage ends early.
