====== Combat Traits ====== Combat traits represent a character’s training, instincts, and experience in physical conflict. They define how a character approaches combat — whether with precision, aggression, defence, or tactical awareness — and determine the unique advantages they bring to a fight. While combat itself is governed by the core rules of attack and defence, these traits modify those fundamentals. They can enhance accuracy, damage, mobility, resilience, or even allow entirely new manoeuvres and reactions. Characters who invest in Combat traits tend to specialize in specific fighting styles, from cautious defenders to daring duellists or relentless berserkers. Though these traits primarily benefit warriors, any character who expects to face danger may find a few well-chosen Combat traits invaluable. Even a scholar or diplomat can survive longer by knowing how to dodge, defend, or strike when it truly matters. ===== Initiate-Tier Traits ===== These traits can be selected at character creation. * [[nexusframe:traits:Archery]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Armour Training]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Blind Fighting]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Close Quarters Fighting]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Defensive Mark]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Duelling]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Flair]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Frenzy]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Great Weapon Fighting]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Gunslinger]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Mobile Combat]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Phalanx Fighter]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Power Strike]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Quick Draw]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Rage]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Shield Training]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Sneak Attack]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Thrown Weapon Fighting]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Two Weapon Fighting]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Unarmed Combat]] ===== Adept-Tier Traits ===== These traits may be selected upon attaining level 2. * [[nexusframe:traits:Armoured Mobility]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Bodkin Points]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Brutal Edge]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Cleave]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Custom Weapon]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Fell Handed]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Fluid Arsenal]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Mobile Assault]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Off-Hand Assault]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Point Blank Shot]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Polearm Expertise]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Precise Shot]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Reliable Finish]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Second Skin]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Shield Bash]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Shield Expertise]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Split Attention]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Two Weapon Defence]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Weapon Specialization]] ===== Master-Tier Traits ===== These traits represent a character's attaining mastery in their field, and may be selected starting at level 8. * [[nexusframe:traits:Bulwark Stance]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Mobile Cleave]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Shielded Charge]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Sundering Impact]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Twin Weapon Mastery]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Vital Attack]] * [[nexusframe:traits:Weapon's Might]] ===== Paragon-Tier Traits ===== The character has achieved the pinnacle of their style.
