====== Fallen ====== A character who is Fallen has collapsed due to injury or fatigue. Such a character suffers the following problems: * They lose all seconds at the start of every turn, and cannot take actions or reactions; * Their Speed becomes zero; * They are automatically [[nexusframe:conditions:Open]] to any attack; * If they are [[nexusframe:conditions:Injured]], they run the risk of death. This status condition is removed if the character takes [[nexusframe:actions:Bed Rest]], and has no Injured condition afterward. ===== Death Check ===== At the end of any encounter in which the character became Fallen, if they have the Injured status condition, they must make an Endurance skill check. This skill check suffers the usual -1 penalty from each instance of the Injured status condition. * **Complete Success**: The character loses the Fallen condition, and removes their lowest Injured status condition. They recover one point of Health. * **Success**: The character loses the Fallen condition. * **Partial Success**: The character does not lose the Fallen condition, but is no longer in danger of death. * **Failure**: The character does not lose the Fallen condition. They must make this check again the next time that they Take a Rest, whether [[nexusframe:actions:Take a Short Rest|Short]], [[nexusframe:actions:Take a Long Rest|Long]], or [[nexusframe:actions:Take Down Time|Down Time]]. * **Complete Failure**: The character has died from their wounds.
