====== Make a Request ======

You ask the subject for something, such as assistance, an item, or permission to take a particular action.  You cannot Make a Request of a subject who is [[nexusframe:rules:affinity|Hostile or Enraged]].  Make a skill check.
  * **Complete Success**:  The subject agrees to the request unconditionally.
  * **Success**:  The subject agrees if it aligns with their interests, is easy for them to grant, or if you offer something in exchange.  If the subject is Devoted to you, they agree unconditionally.
  * **Partial Success**:  The subject will request something of you in return (a //quid pro quo//), unless the request is trivial for them to grant.
  * **Failure**:  The subject refuses, and you cannot try again until you [[nexusframe:actions:Take a Long Rest]].
  * **Complete Failure**:  You have said something offensive or poorly timed, reducing the subject’s temporary Affinity by one step. You cannot attempt this action again until you [[nexusframe:actions:Take a Long Rest]].

**Special**:  Using Coercion to Make a Request immediately lowers the subject’s temporary Affinity by one step. If a Complete Failure occurs while coercing, the loss of Affinity is //permanent//.
