====== Craft an Item ====== **Time Required**: 1 hour\\ **Skill**: [[legacy:skills:Crafting]] You attempt to craft an item. You must spend currency equal to 25% of the base cost of the item to purchase raw materials before making the attempt. You can purchase these raw materials, or salvage them from other sources. Roll Craft vs TN 16. * **Success**: You accumulate 5 copper pennies in work value towards completing the item. * **Failure**: You accumulate 1 copper penny in work value towards completing the item. When you have accumulated work value equal to the value of the item, it is complete. ===== Salvaging Materials ===== You can use this action to salvage materials from an item. This is done in the same manner as Crafting an Item, save that the values for **Success** or **Failure** are doubled. An item will yield up to 20% of its cost in raw materials before being exhausted, which can then be used to craft new items. If the item was [[legacy:conditions:Broken]], you can recover raw materials up to 10% of its value, instead of 20%. If the item was [[legacy:conditions:Damaged]] or [[legacy:conditions:Destroyed]], you can only recover raw material up to 5% of its value. ===== Equipment ===== If you do not have a Crafter's Kit, you suffer slight on any checks made to Craft an Item or to Salvage Materials. ===== Down Time ===== If you are [[legacy:rules:actions:take_down_time|Taking Down Time]] and are in a friendly community, double the amount of work value gained.
