The Realms is a setting for my home-brew role-playing game.  It is a continent with a large inland sea, called the Calyxia Sea.  The northern part of the continent was once a sprawling Empire called Aranor, but that Empire fell over four hundred years ago, and is now a collection of small kingdoms and city-states.

But Aranor never controlled the mountainous north of its continent, and its attempts to extend its influence to the southern shores of the Calyxian Sea met with failure.

The various religions hold considerable political sway in many parts of the Realms, and within the remnants of the Empire of Aranor, the various Guilds also hold a lot of power.  But despite the fervor with which the gods are followed, there is no evidence that they actually exist.  Even divine magic, despite being touted as miracles, is considered by the Mages to be just another type of magic.

I could use your help fleshing out some of the Realms.
