====== Orc ======

Born from the twisted experiments of goblins dabbling in diabolism, the Orcus are a formidable race that strikes fear into the hearts of their enemies. With their imposing stature, demonic blood, and a fierce sense of honour, they are the embodiment of the proud warrior race. Their red skin and hardened features serve as a reminder of their dark and dangerous origins, as well as the strength and resilience that comes from their diabolic heritage.

Unfortunately, this heritage has also made the Orcus unpredictable and prone to violence.  In an attempt to control this, the Orcus live by a strict code of conduct, prizing loyalty and camaraderie above all else. No Orc is left behind in battle, and they will fight to the bitter end to protect their tribe and uphold their honour. This unwavering dedication to their code, combined with their formidable physical prowess, makes them dangerous opponents and uneasy allies.

Among the city-states of the Northern Reaches, however, Orcus are viewed as much with respect as they are with fear, for Orcs form the backbone of the Guild of Monster Hunters.  And one of the iron-clad rules of that Guild is that if a band goes after a dragon, that band must be at least 50% Orcus.  The Orcish Guildmaster of the Monster Hunters, Kugoth, understands the violent impulses that drive his people, and channels them towards hunting these dangerous foes.

===== Attributes =====

Noted for their exceptional brawn and startling reflexes, the Orc receives a +1 to their Agility, Body and Dexterity.    However, their code of honour, and lack of patience for those who do not follow it, makes it difficult for them to relate to outsiders, and imposes a -1 penalty on their Charisma.

===== Statistics =====

An Orc starts with fifteen Stamina, due to their diabolic heritage and sheer physical size.  Their Speed is six meters.

===== Features =====

The Orcus suffer one particular problem:  their vision cues off motion.  As a result, they have difficulty spotting stationary targets, and suffer slight on attempts to [[unbound:actions:Search]] for a [[unbound:conditions:Hidden]] creature.
