| ====== Ongoing ====== | |
| |
| Ongoing damage always lists a die count. When a creature first gains this condition, and at the start of each of their turns, they take the listed damage. Any die that comes up showing a one is dropped from future Ongoing damage rolls. If all dice are dropped, this condition ends. | |
| |
| Ongoing damage has a damage type. It cannot be Vital. If it is a physical type (Blunt, Impaling or Slashing), the Resistance of worn armour does not reduce it. | |
| |
| Ongoing damage cannot be removed with a saving throw. Only dropping all dice will remove this condition. However, a character who is granted a saving throw against the condition may immediately roll the dice for the condition. They do not take any damage, but dice that come up showing a one are still dropped. | |

| Kioni was hit by a dragon's fiery breath! She is taking 3d6 Ongoing Fire damage. At the start of her turn, she rolls the dice, and they come up showing 3, 5 and 1. She takes a total of nine Fire damage. However, because one of those dice came up showing a one, it is dropped, and she is now taking 2d6 Ongoing Fire damage. | |
