-====== Characters ======
-
-Your character is the role you will play in your adventures. Every character has different strengths and weaknesses, distinct personality traits, a unique back-story, and quirks. You have considerable freedom to fashion your character, and you should do your best to make them as memorable as possible.
-
-===== Character Concept =====
-
-This is a remarkably important step, and should not be skipped!  It will influence every decision you make concerning your character.
-
-Determine where your character comes from.  You might need to work with the Director on this, but it should be easy enough if you want your character to be a simple farmer, a scholar, a criminal, or a soldier, prior to becoming a hero.
-
-Determine the sort of skills you want your character to have.  They might be deadly with a blade or a bow, or they might be a skilled expert in a specific field.  They might simply be uncommonly tough, or they might have magical or psychic powers.
-
-And get a picture of your character in your mind, both their physical appearance and their mannerisms.  This will help your character feel more alive during the character creation process.
-
-===== Creating Your Character =====
-
-Creating your character is a six-step process.
-  - Select your ancestry.
-  - Choose your back-story, and gain a feature based on that back-story.
-  - Choose your class, and select a class feature from that class.
-  - Determine your character's attributes and statistics.
-  - Choose a general feature.
-  - Select your equipment.

-**Alex**:  I'm excited to create my first character! What kind of information do I need to get started?
-
-**Director**:  Well, the first thing you'll want to do is come up with your character concept.  This is a Dark Ages game, so no gunslingers or anything like that, but it's also fantasy.  Think Lord of the Rings, or Game of Thrones.
-
-**Alex**:  Okay, that makes sense!  Since it's a dark fantasy world, I'm torn between two character ideas: a stoic defender, or a cunning manipulator.  Which one do you think would be a better fit?
-
-**Director**:  Well, your party already has a Savant and a Druid, so the defender-type would probably be a better fit.
-
-**Alex**:  Great! I think being a stoic defender sounds like a good way to complement the party. Leaning into the "seen too much war" side of things appeals to me. Maybe a grizzled veteran who fights with a one-handed weapon and a large shield.  What kind of class options would be good for a heavily armored defender in Unbound Tales?
-
-**Director**:  Well, either the Warrior or the Guardian would fit.  The Warrior prefers accuracy, whereas the Guardian is built to simply absorb punishment.  But we'll get back to classes in a minute.  We've got a couple of other things to choose first.
