-====== Back-Story ======
-
-Heroes do not spring forth fully-formed from the earth.  Some come from humble beginnings and rise to heroism.  Some are forged, often in fire.  And some simply stumble into it.  Your character's Back-Story defines how they became a hero, and it leaves its mark on them in many ways.
-
-Make sure to consider the reason you no longer engage in the career defined by your Back-Story.  Perhaps your character simply got tired of their old life, and sought out one with more adventure.  Or perhaps there was some inciting incident that led them on a new path to glory.  Or perhaps they simply fell into the wrong company, or stumbled into a situation that was over their head.
-
-<WRAP box 50% right rounded>
-**Director**: Next up is your Back-Story. This covers the
-sort of stuff you did before you became an
-adventurer.
-
-**Alex**: Here’s a backstory idea that aligns with the stoic
-defender concept and the details we’ve chosen so
-far: Korvold Stonehammer, a grizzled veteran Dwarf
-from the Mountain Dwarf tribe, has seen decades of
-war. He honed his skills defending mountain
-strongholds from monstrous invaders and rival clans.
-Though his body bears the scars of countless battles,
-his spirit remains unbroken. Haunted by the losses
-he’s endured, Korvold fights with a stoic
-determination, a shield raised against the darkness
-and a weapon held steady to protect those who stand
-beside him.
-
-**Director**: Wow! Okay, that gives us a lot to work with.
-I’m going to recommend the City Guard Back-Story,
-but the Mercenary Back-Story would work as well.
-
-**Alex**: That’s interesting! The City Guard Backstory
-sounds like a good fit for Korvold’s experiences.
-He’s a veteran who has seen war on a large scale,
-but transitioning to a City Guard could tie into his
-desire to protect the innocent on a smaller, more
-personal level.
-
-**Director**: Well, the City Guard Back-Story gets you +1
-training in the Athletics skill, as well as the Blunt
-Weapons skill. You’re also trained in the use of
-shields, but your class is probably going to give you
-that anyway. Choose either your Body attribute or
-your Charisma attribute, and give it a +1. Then
-choose one of Agility, Dexterity, Education or
-Foresight, and give it a +1 as well.
-
-**Alex**: Let’s go with +1 Charisma, from dealing with
-people, and +1 Dexterity, to reflect his aim. So, with
-his Ancestry and Back-Story defined, what’s the
-next step for creating Korvold the stoic defender?
-
-**Director**: Nearly missed this. You also get +1 Legal
-Prestige.
-
-**Alex**: Legal? He’s no lawyer!
-
-**Director**: It also applies to guardsmen, judges and jailers.  They all work as part of the law, after all.
-
-**Alex**: Okay, I suppose that makes sense.
