Line 1: Line 1:
-====== Travel Overland ======

-**Time Required**:  1 hour\\
-**Skill**:  None (but special cases exist)\\
-
-The party moves a distance equal to the speed of their slowest member, expressed in kilometers.  At its most basic, that's all there is to this action.  However, many options apply.
-
-If the party is moving strictly along decent roads, they may increase the speed by one.  On the other hand, if they are moving through dense woods, desert, jungle or mountainous terrain, their speed is halved.  If forced to move through wetlands, they may cover half a kilometer per hour, regardless of their speed.
-
-The party may choose to increase their speed.  Any individual in the party may choose to expend a recovery in order to double their speed over the course of the hour.  Note that this won't help in wetlands!
-
-A party that is moving overland is not doing anything more than moving, and keeping half an eye on their surroundings.  If any party member wishes to scout for the party, they may halve their speed, and the party cannot be Surprised while moving.
-
-A party member who is [[unbound:actions:track_a_creature|Tracking a Creature]] is considered to be Travelling Overland at half their speed.
-
-<WRAP 80% box round center>
-As Kioni tracks Sebastian, her speed is halved, leaving her with a speed of three.  However, the slowest member of the party is Aria, who as a [[unbound:ancestry:gnome|Gnome]] has a speed of three.
